Hailing from New England, Martha moved to the Bay Area in the mid-nineties to work in the entertainment sector but in recent years has transitioned to the non-profit arena. Most recently, she worked at The Life You Can Save where she contributed her project management skills to assisting in the research and publication of the 10-year Anniversary edition of The Life You Can Save authored by Peter Singer. She enjoys hiking in the hills of Marin, gardening, and cooking for friends and family.

Kirsten has experience in non-profit program management with focuses on local economic development, community development, and green business. Kirsten received her B.A. in Urban & Regional Planning from Eastern Washington University. In Kirsten’s free time, you can find her exploring the Bay Area’s wild places with her husband and two children.

Volunteer Opportunity: Multimedia Video Editor/Creator.

Utilize your talents to edit our monthly Issue Committee recordings for public viewing and to create engaging and outdoor-themed videos for our new website, e-news and campaigns.

Zoom meetings: Edit and assemble recorded Zoom presentation videos (1-2 hours long) into finished products suitable for YouTube viewing. Approximately 4 videos per month.
Special projects: record original footage of events and interviews. Edit the footage and assemble with necessary audio and B-roll footage to create short video clips for use in MCL’s marketing materials, website, and social media outlets. Approximately 2-4 times per year. More possible if you have new video suggestions!
Qualifications should include experience in videography, video editing, and storytelling. Minimal 6-month commitment required due to the monthly meetings of our 4 committees. Can be done from your own home with video editing software.
