Thursday, September 5, 6:00pm - 8:00pm: Public Workshop, Ranching in the Park - The Next Step.  MCL as participated actively in the National Park Services planning process for the continuation of family ranches and dairy farms on the Seashore in conjunction with management of Tule elk. This workshop will discuss the Point Reyes National Seashore's Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) structure and content. We will provide background on the significance of this step in environmental review and planning through the National Environmental Policy act, including resources and tips for developing and submitting comments during the review period. Walk-ins are welcome, registration is encouraged:  Lagunitas School, 1 Lagunitas School Rd., San Geronimo.

Saturday, September 21, 9:00am - noon: Volunteer for the 35th Annual Coastal Cleanup Day! Marin Conservation League will host 2 locations: Scottsdale Pond in Novato and the Bay Model Visitor Center in Sausalito. Please bring a completed waiver, gloves, and a reusable water bottle to the site of your choosing.  All volunteers are invited to a free BBQ from noon - 2:00pm at the Bay Model Visitor Center in Sausalito.

Saturday, September 28, 9:30am - 12:30pm: Walk into Conservation History at Samuel P. Taylor State Park. Hear the exploits of explorer Samuel Penfield Taylor and celebrate MCL's tortuous but successful efforts 90 years later to save the site as a State Park. Jean Berensmeier, Past President of MCL and unofficial historian, will be there with stories. We will walk Pioneer Tree Trail, a 2.5 mile loop with moderate elevation change. Space is limited for this free walk and registration required.

Saturday, April 27, 9:30am: Walk into History: Wildflower Walk on Mt. Burdell. Bring water, comfortable walking shoes, and a camera to catch all the spectacular blooms we hope to see. Free and open to the public! 

Wednesday, May 8, 7:00 - 9:00pm: Firestorm, Wildfires and Climate Change. A free public forum. Climate change continues to intensify the conditions causing the most destructive fires in California's history. Learn from a panel of speakers what's happening, what's being done, and what you can do. RSVP required.

Friday, May 10, 7:30 - 9:00am: Business-Environment Breakfast with Albert Straus, Our BHAG: Why a carbon-neutral dairy farming system is needed by 2022. We'll begin with a special presentation of the Youth Honorees for Outstanding Environmental Achievement. Celebrate National Public Lands Day and take a guided walk through time to learn how the iconic Marin Headlands were saved for all. The walk is free but registration is requested.
